Back and neck pain

I am trying not to accept the chronic pain that I have been having since the accident I was in almost a year ago 9-16-10.
It is a challenge however, when the pain is persistent regardless of the measures I take to try and relieve the pain.
I want to keep a journal as it where of how I have been feeling so I will use this blogger account to do this.

My back has been hurting more in the last couple of days. There is a lot of popping and cracking in my mid back and at the base of the neck.
The mid back feels like a burning and to the right of that spot is very painful in shoulder blades a numbness and dull pain.
Always seems to be pain and a sensation of tearing in tendons or muscles of back. It was so bad last night that I had to lay down in an epson salt bath for a half hour and then lay on a icepack and took a skelaxin muscle relaxer.
I am wondering would massage and or accupuncture help me in any way?

I wonder would massage or accupunture give me any relief.

Part of the issue is that it hurts so much to sit or laydown on my back. The pressure hurts it.
I make my living as a driver and this is problomatic. It hurts to sit at my computer. I have taken to using a therapedic cushion when I sit to drive or type just to help, but after periods of an hour or so I need to stand up and move around.
The only time that it doesn't hurt me as much is when I am walking of standing.
I have also tried stretching in the hopes that this would help pop things back in order.
I am refocusing my attention on weight loss as this can only help in many ways.
The constant pain is a good motivation for losing some weight.
I would like to lose 80 pounds. I like to walk on the tredmill at home for an hour at a time. I would hope that as I lose weight that I would be able to run some.
Right now if I try to run my knees start to ache.

Feels good to communicate this somewhere. I will post again soon.
