Ringtones

     My wife is annoyed at my ringtone.

      I selected a sound byte from the movie Gladiator with Russell Crowe. The scene where Maximus (played by Mr. Crowe) screams out to the crowd in the desert town arena, "Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why your here?!" The crowd pauses for a moment and the replies in unison, "'Spaniard! Spaniard!"'
     The fact that Russell, an Australian delivers these lines with out so much as a
nod to the fact that he isn't using a Spanish accent--I can't help but laugh when I hear that line, and when the crowd starts in together it's even more of a chuckle-fest for me.

     I don't want to give the wrong impression here, Gladiator, is one of my top 10 movies. The soundtrack produced by Hanz Zimmer is a special treat for me as well. I like to listen to it while I work on my fiction. The music helps to unlock the muse-lings.
    My wife has decided that she hates my ringtone..
I guess she's not entertained.
