Life in general

Life is good. I am feeling better and doing what I need to do to ensure my keeping it that way.
I am looking forward to getting out on the water for a lot of fishing in the 2010.
I am visualizing full bags of Striped bass and Halibut and maybe some rock fish this year. Get ready Wade and Tyrone.
In my writing life I have been toiling happily over my first novel. I am still in the outlining and world building stages but every now and then some dialog or scene setting comes to me and I can actually visualize it pretty clearly how I want it to go.
I am amazed at how while writing one particular section, that an idea will hit me for another part of the story that I haven't got to yet or some seasoning for a character or a part that I had already sketched out previously. I get happy when entire scenes of conversation just seem to appear on the screen.
Dialog moves fast and adds to that page count pretty well and seems to me to help the story move along also.
I have been having a feeling of loss for a bit, as I haven't actually finished any writing while I have been working on this current story.
I have spent a good amount of time with this and I don't think that I am even halfway done with this stage of the process.
I am however getting a much better grasp on the characters and world and because of this I am understanding the Antagonist and his forces much better.
Part of my feelings about the lost completion time, is that I haven't done any more flash fiction work with Carlos and Al nor have I done any short story work at all. Just outlining. I have 4 or 5 new novel writing software programs and have started other novel ideas in those. When I am stumped for the main novel I often will go to one of those and input some stuff as well. NewNovelist, Hollywood screen writer, Bookwriter, Storybook, Writers cafe, Writeitnow, Writers dreamkit and Ywriter.
So far Ywriter is what I have been the most productive with. It's a free program that you can donate if you like to that I found at WWW.spacejock.com.
The program was written by a sci fi writer who also happens to be a software programmer. The program seems on par with some that I have paid cash for at the store.
This was an update of sorts if somewhat jumbled. I am going for a walk now. Sometimes I get the best story ideas while walking.
Bye for now.
