writing stuff

I finished a short story. My first one. It's a bit of a science fiction romance I think.A couple of close alpha reader friends have read it and say they like. I think I want to polish it a bit more. It's title is Mother of Man. I have to admit it feels good to actually complete a piece of fiction, however small. I am back to the drawing board with another idea which is even more of a science fiction joint. My goal is to get about 4 or 5 short stories completed in next couple of months and then start on my big story. With these shorts I'm trying to strengthen the writing muscle as it were. Will post on my success on this blog.

In related news Comic writer and Graphic Novelist, Al Martinez has showed me some early work of his on a story and all I can say is wow! Be on the look out for the exploits of Moses Sanford and his seeing eye ghost!

I had a long phone call today with my brother Carlos, He is brainstorming some story material right now. I know that his stuff will be worth the wait. I saw an early draft of a story he has brewing on a fantasy story. I want to see more.

Carlos has a son Andrew who has been writing stories himself now for a while. I think he has tons of talent as well.

Its great to have a network of friends and family interested in the written word.
I know eventually, that I will be able to report about all of our works being published and out there for the world to grok.
